MASC Request for Professional Waiver of Entrance Exam

0%
Thank you for your interest in the MASC.

Completing this form will submit your request for consideration to waive the entrance test score requirement (GRE/GMAT/LSAT) based on your professional experience.

The MASC Admission Committee evaluates requests looking at the quality of your work experience. Your experience must clearly relate to an area of strategic communication (public relations, marketing, advertising, campaign planning/management, fundraising, business management, etc.). You will be required to upload a current resume at the end of the form.

You will need to meet the minimum requirements for one of the following options.

  1. Have at least seven years of full-time professional experience in strategic communication, hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, and have at least a 2.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on all work attempted prior to completion of the baccalaureate degree (4.00 scale) from a regionally accredited college or university.

  2. Have at least five years of full-time professional experience in strategic communication, hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, and have at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on all work attempted prior to completion of the baccalaureate degree (4.00 scale) from a regionally accredited college or university.

Applicants using the professional waiver option might be required to submit evidence of satisfactory academic writing ability or successfully complete (with a letter grade of B or better, or pass for a pass/fail course) during the first semester of graduate classes a writing course to be approved by the MASC Graduate Coordinator.

Approval of the request for the professional waiver does not guarantee admission into the MASC. It simply waives the GRE/GMAT/LSAT test score requirement. Your admissions application will still go through the MASC Admissions Committee Review for acceptance into the program.

A denial of the request for the professional waiver does not indicate you will not be admitted to the MASC. It simply means that you will have to meet the minimum GRE/GMAT/LSAT test score requirements along with all other admissions requirements.
